Prayer Ministry – This Sunday at 4:00 PM

Our Prayer Ministry meets every other Sunday at 4:00 PM, alternating with our Nursing Home Ministry.

Our hope is that every member of our church will give just one Sunday afternoon each month to join us in prayer.

During our time together, we:

Pray for the needs of our church and community.

Send cards to let people know they have been prayed for.

Visit people throughout our city to ask how we can pray for them and encourage them with the love of Christ.

Our prayer is simple but bold:

That every person in Paris will know someone from First Baptist Church who has prayed for them.

ALL ABOUT JESUS, FROM THE VERY BEGINNING.

Preschoolers learn the greatest amount of knowledge in the quickest amount of time during this span of life.

Our preschool programs introduce concepts about God, which will be a foundation for their faith for the rest of their lives.

Our Bible-based curriculum encourages the development of positive attitudes toward God, Jesus, the Bible, self, others, nature, family, and church.

The Youth Ministry is focused on helping young people grow in their faith and develop their skills in ministry.

There are five purposes of youth ministry:

1. To provide a safe place for young people to explore their faith and connect with others who share their beliefs.

2. To help young people develop their leadership skills and become advocates for their faith.

3. To equip young people with the tools they need to make a positive impact in their community.

4. To help young people discover their passions and talents and use them to serve God and others.

5. To provide a foundation for young people as they journey into adulthood.

~ Your kids’ introduction to each lesson will be the beautiful, fun resources that they get to use at home before coming to KidzLife. 

~ All the kids in each level are in the same passage so you can go in-depth together. 

~ Once they arrive, the entire evening is focused on the one passage they have already gotten familiar with.

~ You’ll emphasize the lesson multiple ways each week and target various learning styles.

~ By the time kids go home, they will not only understand the Biblical concept, but they’ll have concrete ways to apply it to their lives.

Church Camp

Each year, we partner with the Arkansas River Valley Baptist (ARVB) Association for an unforgettable week of Church Camp!

Students in grades 1–12 have the opportunity to hear the gospel, grow in their faith, build lasting friendships, and discover what it means to follow Jesus Christ.

Although campers of all ages attend during the same week, the camp is carefully organized by age group:

Children: Grades 1–4

Middle School: Grades 5–7

Youth: Grades 8–12

Each age group has its own:

Worship services

Bible study sessions

Recreation activities

Adult leaders and supervision

To provide a safe and enjoyable experience, meals are staggered by age, with younger children eating first. Swimming, water slide, and paddle boat activities are also scheduled by age group, and swimming and water slide times are separated by gender.

Church Camp is an exciting week filled with biblical teaching, Christ-centered worship, fun activities, and opportunities for students to grow in their relationship with Jesus. We would love for your child to join us for this life-changing experience!

The Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) exists to encourage and equip believers to live on mission for Christ by praying, giving, learning, and serving.

Through WMU, women grow in their understanding of God's mission around the world while actively supporting missionaries and sharing the gospel in their own communities.

WMU focuses on:

🌍 Learning about missions at home and around the world.

🙏 Praying faithfully for missionaries and those who have never heard the gospel.

❤️ Supporting missions through giving and hands-on ministry.

📖 Growing spiritually through Bible study and fellowship.

🤝 Encouraging others to live as faithful witnesses for Jesus Christ.

Whether serving our local community or supporting missionaries across the globe, our desire is to glorify God by making Christ known.
