Bus Ministry

The greatest single reason: SOULS

One pastor recently shared the following testimony. “Over the past twelve months, we have seen twelve children saved as a result of our bus ministry. We have also seen two families begin attending and one of the parents recently received the Holy Spirit.

We have been involved in bus ministry for over fourteen years and no fewer than thirty people are in church today as the direct result of bus ministry.

We need Drivers:  Van Drivers and Bus Drives!

We need Rides: To ride along on the Van or Bus and help out!

GETTING INVOLVED

We believe that every person matters both inside and outside of the church.

The church is a body of people that seek to learn and follow Jesus Christ.

"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."     Hebrews 10:24-25

There are many, many ways we can encourage one another  "all the more".

Here's how you can get involved...

  • Babies: We have some new members that need to be loved on.
  • Kids Ministry Team:  We care and connect Toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary kids to Christ through sharing, teaching and caring for each little one.
  • Student Ministry Team:  We desire gospel-centered friendships with students 7th-12th grade.
  • Grounds Crew: We want to honor Jesus and our guests by maintaining a clean campus, both inside and outside.

This is a good start to "encouraging one another all the more".

Join in and see how God blesses your life because of it!

Nursery Worker Needed

Too often serving in the church nursery can seem like a thankless job

Here are 7 reasons why serving in the church nursery is important.

Reason #1  -- God is in the church nursery. This may come as a shock, but the Bible has specific promises about God’s presence when children are welcomed and loved in Jesus’ name.

Reason #2  -- Your service in the church nursery allows churchgoers to focus on worship, rather than worrying about their children. In a very real sense, your ministry makes it possible for the pastor to fulfill his ministry.

Reason #3  -- The first (and sometimes lasting) feelings a child will have toward church is formed in the nursery department. While not everyone agrees, I believe that a positive experience in the church nursery is essential.

Reason #4  -- When you serve in the nursery, you are being entrusted with the most important (and vulnerable) members of the church family. There is no greater treasure on this side of heaven than the little ones God has given us. You must be someone special to have a job that is so important.

Jesus was known for putting others serving Christian is always a growing Your service is essential for your own spiritual growth. You may have never looked at it this way, but a Reason #5  -- first, when you serve in the church nursery you are walking in his example.

The church nursery is the first contact young families will have with your church. Your friendly greeting and exceptional care for their children can make a great first impression Reason #6  -- for your church. If they don’t feel like their children are safe, they will not return – and rightly so.

Reason #7  -- Your service in the church nursery is a powerful opportunity for prayer. If every nursery worker would spend several minutes praying over the children in their care, imagine how God might begin to change this coming generation. There is no better way to create an environment of spiritual nurture than to pray while you serve in the nursery.

Remember that God blesses those who serve his children.
