First Baptist Church of Paris

A Place To Call Home

Letter from Pastor!

As you can see from the picture, Carrie and I love our family, and we get to celebrate Sundays together often.

We know that sometimes it can feel difficult to make that first step and visit a church—but I want to assure you, we all have to make that step at some point, and we are so glad we did.

Life has its struggles and failures, but the beauty of the Church is that God gives us family and friends who encourage us, lift us up, and walk with us. That’s what being part of the body of Christ is all about.

I’d like to personally invite you to make plans to join us this Sunday. When you come, look for me Pastor Harlin Brewton.

I would truly love to meet you!

Sunday School starts at 9:30 a.m. and we will direct you in the right direction to help easy your mind about where to go.

Worship Service @ 10:45 a.m. This is a time we all meet together to give praise and honor to God, and to reflect on one's relationship with God.

So that you won’t feel rushed, we do recommend that you arrive 15 mins before the service so that you have time to drop off your kiddos in the nursery and make your way into the Fellowship hall.

Where should I park?

Visitor parking is located on the westside of the building. There is a signs marking the area. This way we can enter in to the front of building.

But, we also have a big parking on the northside of the building with entrance there as well. Someone will greet you and help point you into the right direction.

You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. The people that gather here on Sunday morning wear everything from suits and dresses, to jeans and t-shirts, though most wear business casual.

Nursery!

Yes! We have a Nursery for infants through 4yrs old.

While you are enjoying an exciting worship service, please know that the safety of your child is of utmost importance to us.

All of our volunteers are screened by multiple methods to ensure your child’s safety. We do this so you can be free to worship knowing that your child is being taken care of by very capable people who are trained to work specifically with children.

Attending a small group (Sunday School Class) or Bible study is the first step to making a large church smaller.

A great way to grow in your relationship with Jesus is to have intentional relationships with people who have the same goal.

What can I expect & what will the message be like?

We are a warm, loving church, committed to helping people through the person and power of Jesus Christ. We invite you to join our worship service and celebrate with us. Our music is a blend between hymnals and contemporary music

Will I have to say, sign, or give anything?

If you are visiting, we won’t ask you to give a dime. We won’t make you wear a visitor badge or ask you to stand up or do anything that could make you feel uncomfortable. We want you to remain as anonymous as you want to, but we encourage you to visit our church over several weeks to see what’s going on at FBC Paris.
